Musica Viva online in schools
With COVID-19 crisis funding from Wesfarmers in 2020, Musica Viva Australia was able to provide employment for 60 musicians and offer a full suite of online performances and teaching resources tailored to primary classrooms across Australia.
Over 90,000 children around the country have benefited from more than 180 streamed concerts featuring live and interactive music performances, accompanied by curriculum-aligned lesson plans and music activities. The program's model as part Play School, part talk-back radio, and part workshop where every student has an interactive experience, has been vital to its popularity with schools Australia-wide.
