Like Wesfarmers, Teach For Australia (TFA) is committed to education, with a vision for an Australia where the quality of a student’s schooling is not affected by their postcode, their background or their circumstance.

TFA is focused on growing a community of leaders committed to equality for children by recruiting and developing exceptional people to teach and lead across the country. Teachers are drawn from all walks of life - among their number are former international aid workers, paralegals, youth mentors, management consultants, journalists, nurses - even a Nobel Prize winner!

Remarkably, one in three of TFA’s teachers is placed in regional, rural or remote schools, areas where disadvantage is often at its deepest.

Wesfarmers is proud to have partnered with the TFA since 2017, and over that time has provided funding which has enabled the training, development and placement of more than 200 teachers in 56 schools across the state, improving the outcomes for tens of thousands of Western Australian students along the way.
