Safety performance

We are pleased with the continued improvement in our safety performance but believe there is more to be done to further enhance the safety of our workplaces. 

To monitor safety performance, we use TRIFR (or total recordable injury frequency rate) which shows injuries per million hours worked by team members and long-term contractors. 

This year, TRIFR decreased by almost eight per cent from 10.4 to 9.6. Workers’ compensation claims decreased from 1,632 to 1,514.
